1. Moussaka
Ingredients:

Instructions:
Slice eggplants and potatoes, drizzle with oil, and roast until tender. Sauté ground meat with onion, garlic, tomato paste, and cinnamon. In a baking dish, layer roasted potatoes, eggplant, meat mixture, and top with béchamel sauce. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
2. Pastitsio (Greek Lasagna)
Ingredients:
Penne or bucatini pasta, ground beef, onion, garlic, tomato paste, cinnamon, béchamel sauce, eggs, grated cheese, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Cook pasta until al dente. Brown beef with onion, garlic, tomato paste, and cinnamon. Layer cooked pasta, meat sauce, and thick béchamel in a greased baking dish. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes until golden.
3. Souvlaki
Ingredients:
Pork, chicken, or lamb, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, pita bread, tzatziki, tomatoes, onions
Instructions:
Marinate cubed meat in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper for at least 1 hour. Skewer and grill until charred and cooked through. Serve with warm pita, tzatziki, sliced tomatoes, and onions.
4. Greek Salad (Horiatiki) with Grilled Chicken or Fish
Ingredients:
Tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olives, feta, oregano, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, chicken or fish fillets
Instructions:
Grill seasoned chicken or fish. Chop vegetables and toss with olive oil, lemon juice, and oregano. Top with sliced grilled protein and crumbled feta.
5. Spanakopita
Ingredients:
Spinach, feta cheese, onion, fresh dill, phyllo dough, eggs, olive oil
Instructions:
Sauté spinach and onions. Mix with crumbled feta, chopped dill, and beaten eggs. Layer phyllo sheets in a greased dish, brushing each with olive oil, add filling, top with more phyllo. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes until golden.
6. Chicken or Lamb Gyro
Ingredients:
Chicken or lamb, olive oil, garlic, oregano, lemon juice, pita bread, tzatziki, tomato, onion, optional fries
Instructions:
Marinate meat in oil, lemon, garlic, oregano, and grill or roast. Slice thin and serve in pita with tzatziki, tomatoes, onions, and optional fries.
7. Avgolemono Soup
Ingredients:
Chicken broth, cooked chicken, orzo, eggs, lemon juice, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Simmer orzo in chicken broth. Whisk eggs and lemon juice, then temper with hot broth. Slowly stir the egg-lemon mix into soup without boiling. Add shredded chicken and season to taste.
8. Keftedes (Greek Meatballs)
Ingredients:
Ground beef or lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, breadcrumbs, egg, olive oil, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients and form small meatballs. Pan-fry in olive oil until browned or bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Serve with tzatziki or tomato sauce.
9. Youvetsi
Ingredients:
Orzo pasta, lamb or beef chunks, onion, garlic, tomato paste, cinnamon, beef broth, olive oil, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Brown meat in olive oil. Add onion, garlic, tomato paste, and cinnamon. Add orzo and broth. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes, stirring halfway.
10. Gemista (Stuffed Vegetables)
Ingredients:
Tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, rice, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, olive oil, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Hollow vegetables. Mix rice with sautéed onion, garlic, herbs, and seasonings. Stuff vegetables and arrange in baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 1 hour.
11. Roasted Lemon Chicken and Potatoes
Ingredients:
Chicken pieces, potatoes, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, garlic, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Combine chicken and potato chunks with lemon juice, oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Arrange in a pan and roast at 400°F (200°C) for 1 hour, basting occasionally.
12. Fakes (Greek Lentil Soup)
Ingredients:
Lentils, onion, garlic, carrot, tomato paste, olive oil, bay leaf, vinegar, salt, pepper
Instructions:
Sauté onion, garlic, and carrot. Add lentils, tomato paste, bay leaf, and water. Simmer until lentils are tender (30–40 min). Stir in a splash of vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
