Gingerbread Cookies (USA)

                                             Classic spiced cookies shaped into gingerbread men.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tbsp ground ginger

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground cloves

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup molasses

Instructions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and molasses.

  2. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Chill dough for 1 hour.

  3. Roll out dough, cut shapes, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes.


 Pfeffernüsse (Germany)

                                          Spiced German cookies coated in powdered sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp each of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and white pepper

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 egg

Instructions:

  1. Heat honey and sugar until dissolved; cool slightly.

  2. Mix dry ingredients and combine with honey mixture and egg.

  3. Shape into small balls and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.

  4. Coat with powdered sugar.



Shortbread (Scotland)

                                                       Buttery, crumbly cookies.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup butter

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour and sugar, then blend in butter.

  2. Roll out and cut shapes. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 15–20 minutes.

 Smash Burger Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the Pancakes:

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk with 1 tsp vinegar)
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter (plus extra for cooking)
  • For the Burger Layer:

    • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 4 slices of cheddar or American cheese
  • For Toppings:

    • Lettuce leaves
    • Tomato slices
    • Pickles
    • Ketchup, mustard, or special sauce

Instructions:

  1. Make the Pancake Batter:

    • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
    • Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed (don’t over mix).
  2. Cook the Pancakes:

    • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
